Türkiye is a Muslim-majority country, but that alone does not tell you what a specific airport outlet serves, so we only list what the airport itself says. Ask at the counter if you are unsure. See also halal food at airports and which airlines serve halal meals.

Practical tips for Istanbul Airport prayer rooms

  • Transferring? The airport lists a masjid in the transfer area next to the Visa Control Office, and several international ones near gates A, B, D and F.
  • The Ali Kuşçu Mosque is at the terminal entrance, so plan time for it before check-in or after you leave arrivals, not during a tight connection.
  • Spending time in the city? See our guides to halal holidays in Istanbul and Istanbul’s Islamic landmarks.
