Islamic Hotels in Dubai: 13 Checked for Alcohol, Halal Food and Women-Only Spaces

Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai in daylight

Last checked: October 28, 2026. Labels show where each fact comes from: Listed = shown on a booking-platform listing, Stated = said by the hotel or an official source, Conflicting = sources (or parts of one listing) disagree, Not checked yet = we haven’t confirmed it.

Short answer: yes, there are Islamic hotels in Dubai, but far fewer than “halal-friendly” labels suggest. We checked 13 Dubai hotels on HalalBooking today. Six are listed as alcohol-free properties with all food halal: Jannah Place Dubai Marina, The Biltmore Hotel Villas, Element by Marriott Al Mina, Aparthotel Adagio Dubai Gold District, Al Khaleej Grand Hotel and Saffron Hotel. The other seven serve halal food but are listed with an alcohol-free room only, so a bar can still be on site (for one of them, Elite Byblos, the listing contradicts itself).

Islamic hotels in Dubai: the alcohol-free ones

These six are listed as an “Alcohol-free property”, which HalalBooking defines as “No alcohol is served anywhere in the property”. All six also list “All halal food”.

Halal food, but not alcohol-free: 7 Dubai hotels

These hotels are often called halal hotels in Dubai, and some have the best women-only facilities in the city. But each listing says only that “Alcohol is removed from guest’s room” if you book through HalalBooking. That is an alcohol-free room, not an alcohol-free hotel. One exception: the Elite Byblos listing also says “Alcohol is not served at this property”, so we mark its alcohol status as Conflicting until the hotel confirms it.

Which Islamic hotel in Dubai fits you?

  • You want no alcohol anywhere and a central base: Jannah Place Dubai Marina, or Element by Marriott Al Mina near Dubai Creek.
  • You want privacy as a couple or family: The Biltmore Hotel Villas is the only alcohol-free property here with a fully secluded pool in some villas. Read how to tell if a private pool is really secluded and our halal villas with private pools before you pick a villa type.
  • You want a beach resort with women-only swimming: Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has a ladies-only indoor pool, but it isn’t alcohol-free. It also appears in our luxury halal resorts list.
  • You want a simple, alcohol-free stay near the souks: Al Khaleej Grand, Saffron Hotel or Adagio Gold District in Deira. Note that the first two list no pool at all.

  • Alcohol-free property: no alcohol is served anywhere. This is what most people mean by an Islamic or dry hotel.

Before you book a Dubai hotel: current travel advisories

We don’t rate destinations as safe or unsafe. Here is what the official advisories say as of today:

  • United Kingdom: the FCDO’s UAE advice, last updated October 27, 2026, warns about regional tensions and tells travellers to be prepared for “possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions” (Stated, gov.uk).

Read the official advice yourself before you pay (US travelers: also check the State Department’s UAE page), check your travel insurance, and prefer a rate you can cancel.

Questions to ask a Dubai hotel before you book

  1. Is alcohol served anywhere in the hotel, including the pool bar, room service and events?
  2. Is all food halal, and which body certifies it?
  3. What are the women-only hours for the pool, spa or gym, and are they fully screened from view?
  4. Can I cancel or change dates without a fee if travel advice changes?

The full list, with an email template, is in our questions to ask a halal resort before booking.

FAQ

Are there Islamic hotels in Dubai?

Yes. Of the 13 Dubai hotels we checked on October 28, 2026, six are listed on HalalBooking as alcohol-free properties where all food is halal: Jannah Place Dubai Marina, The Biltmore Hotel Villas, Element by Marriott Al Mina, Aparthotel Adagio Dubai Gold District, Al Khaleej Grand Hotel and Saffron Hotel.

Is there a list of dry hotels in Dubai?

We found no official, current list. The six hotels in our first table are the dry (non-alcoholic) hotels we could confirm on a listing today. Older press lists name other hotels, but we only include a hotel once a listing or the hotel itself says it serves no alcohol.

Which Dubai hotel has a women-only pool?

Of the hotels we checked, only Jumeirah Zabeel Saray lists a ladies-only pool: an indoor pool that is fully secluded. Several others, including The Biltmore Hotel Villas, Rose Rayhaan and Al Jaddaf Rotana, list a ladies-only spa instead.
