Short answer: we re-opened the listing of every resort on this page and kept the 10 luxury halal resorts whose halal food, alcohol and privacy claims we could read there. Five of them combine all-halal food with an alcohol-free property: Wome Deluxe, Adenya and Adin in Türkiye, Grand Mogador Tanger in Morocco and Fiyavalhu in the Maldives. The other five, in Dubai, the Maldives, Zanzibar and Mauritius, are halal-friendly: they offer fully secluded pool villas or ladies-only facilities, but alcohol is only removed from your room, not from the resort.
How we chose these luxury halal resorts
There’s no official standard for a “halal resort”, so we check four things on each listing and only keep a resort if we could read them ourselves:
- Food: is all food on the property halal, or only some dishes?
- Alcohol: is the whole property alcohol-free, or is alcohol only removed from your room?
- Privacy: are there women-only beaches, pools or spas, or private pools that are listed as fully secluded?
- Star rating: as shown on the listing. Nine are 5-star; Fiyavalhu is 4-star and stays because it’s the only alcohol-free Maldives island resort we’ve verified.
What we removed: The Datai Langkawi (Malaysia). Its Booking.com listing wouldn’t load for us on October 23, 2026, and the resort’s own dining page doesn’t mention halal food at all (it does list a beach lounge bar). We’ll add it back once we can read a source. For the different levels of “halal” in more detail, see what a halal friendly hotel really means.

Fully halal luxury resorts: no alcohol anywhere
If you want all-halal food and no alcohol anywhere on the property, five resorts qualify on their listings.
- Wome Deluxe (Alanya): the choice for a villa with a fully secluded pool plus full women-only facilities. Its women-only beach and outdoor pools are listed as open April 1 to November 15.
- Adenya (Alanya): for families who mainly want the women-only beach and pools. Its women-only beach and outdoor pools are listed as open April 20 to November 3; boys aged 5 and younger may join their mothers.
- Adin (Alanya): women-only beach listed as open April 1 to November 3, women-only pools April 5 to October 31; boys 5 or older aren’t allowed in the women’s areas.
- Grand Mogador Tanger (Morocco): a beachfront city hotel rather than a secluded resort. The ladies-only spa runs 10:00 to 17:00 with advance booking; the beach is public and mixed. More on the country in halal holidays in Morocco.
- Fiyavalhu (Maldives): the rare alcohol-free island resort, with fully secluded pools in the Beach Pool Villas. It has no women-only areas, and it’s rated 4 stars, not 5.
The three Türkiye resorts are seasonal. Compare their women-only facilities side by side in women-only beach resorts in Türkiye.
Halal-friendly luxury resorts: private villas, alcohol not banned
The other five are luxury resorts that cater to Muslim guests without being alcohol-free. On each listing, alcohol is removed from your room when you book through HalalBooking; none of them is listed as an alcohol-free property. What they offer instead is privacy.
- Furaveri and Ayada (Maldives): villas with fully secluded private pools and a kids’ club at both. Furaveri’s listing contradicts itself on food, so ask. Ayada’s newest review on the listing is from November 2024. Read Maldives halal resorts for how alcohol rules work on resort islands.
- Jumeirah Zabeel Saray (Dubai): all food listed as halal, plus a ladies-only indoor pool and spa. The listing says the property is renovating from August 1, 2025 to November 15, 2026 (“completion date subject to change”), and its newest review is from September 2025. - Zanzi Resort (Zanzibar): all food listed as halal and villas with private pools, but the listing disagrees with itself on how secluded they are. See halal resorts in Zanzibar.
- Maradiva (Mauritius): every villa has a fully secluded private pool, but only some food is halal, and the newest review on the listing is from April 2025.

- Is alcohol served anywhere on the property, not just in our room?
- Are the women-only areas open on our exact dates, and up to what age can boys join?

FAQ
What are the best halal holiday resorts?
It depends on how strict you want it. If you want all-halal food and no alcohol on the property, the resorts we could verify are Wome Deluxe, Adenya and Adin in Türkiye, Grand Mogador Tanger in Morocco and Fiyavalhu in the Maldives. If privacy matters more than alcohol rules, the Maldives, Zanzibar and Mauritius resorts above offer villas with private pools.
Are there luxury halal resorts in Europe?
We haven’t verified a fully halal luxury resort inside the EU yet. The closest documented options are the Alanya resorts on Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast and Grand Mogador Tanger in Morocco, across the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain.
What is a halal resort?
A resort that caters to Muslim travelers. At the strictest level, all food is halal and no alcohol is served anywhere. Many resorts marketed as halal or halal-friendly only offer some halal dishes and remove alcohol from your room, so always check which level you’re booking.
